Idaho is a state that offers many opportunities for photography enthusiasts. Whether you are looking for stunning landscapes, wildlife, or historical sites, Idaho has something for everyone. One of the most iconic places in Idaho is the Sawtooth Mountains. These rugged peaks are part of the Rocky Mountains and provide a dramatic backdrop for any photo. You can access the Sawtooth National Recreation Area from the town of Stanley, where you can find camping, lodging, and dining options. The best time to photograph the Sawtooths is during sunrise or sunset, when the light creates beautiful colors and shadows on the mountains. You can also try to capture the reflection of the mountains in one of the many lakes in the area, such as Redfish Lake or Stanley Lake.

Another great place for photography in Idaho is the Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve. This unique landscape was formed by volcanic eruptions that left behind lava fields, cinder cones, and caves. You can explore the park on foot or by car, and discover the different features and formations that make this place look like another planet.
