Angel Biscuits |
Warning: these are extremely addictive! |
Ingredients: |
5 cups White Lilly Flour (self rising) 1/4 cup Sugar 1/2 Tbs Instant yeast (rapid rise) 7 oz Emge lard 2 cups Buttermilk |
Directions: |
1. Stir together flour, sugar and yeast 2. Cut in lard with a pastry blender until ther are no pieces bigger than a pea 3. Add buttermilk 4. Knead on moderately floured board until mass forms a smooth consistent dough 5. Roll out using a biscuit rolling pin 6. Cut biscuits with cutter 7. Dip into melted butter, fold and place on a paper-lined baking pan 8. Refrigerate until needed 9. Bake 8-10 minutes at 350 degree oven until golden brown Serve hot |
