Today I went back to the Sandy
Creek Park covered bridge to take Senior photos of Emma
Scharff. Mother Tiffany was the "studio director" and
sister Lily was the hair and makeup artist. My function
was to point the camera and depress the shutter button. |

| Wash U Swim Team Mini-Reunion |

Over this past weekend, I hosted a mini Wash U Swim Team
Reunion here at Casa Budde West.
Pictured left L-R: Don McIntosh (Middlebury, VT), Bruce
Canaga (Vienna, VA), Ted Roche (Salt Lake City UT) and
yours truly. This picture was taken on top of Fred's
Mountain. No flowers were harmed in taking this photo.
During the visit we took a number of hikes in the area,
ate some fantastic food but mostly enjoyed each other's
company. During this too short visit, a great time was
had by all.

| Teddy Sharff's Second Birthday |

Today we celebrated Teddy Scharff's
second birthday. Teddy invited members from his
pre-school class and family.
We started out with a tour of the Clayton Fire House.
The kids got a chance to have their photos taken on the
equipment.
Afterwards we all went to Imo's for pizza and birthday
cake.
Note: I used the Canon 135 f/2 lens for these photos.

The Teton Regional Land Trust sponsored a "photo walk" at their most recent property, a four hundred acre
parcel of land along the Teton River. It was being headed by
Loren Woods, a Jackson photographer,
whom, I had met via email over this past winter.

One of the bands featured two drummers... Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzman of the Grateful Dead!

| Driggs Air Show |

This was a pretty impressive air show.
There is a doctor from Jackson that owns and
has restored a number of vintage airplanes.
A number of them are on display at The
Warbirds Cafe. You will occasionally see
them flying above Teton Valley but today
they were all in the air.

Each year the local Boy Scout troops collect
these antlers from the Elk Refuge.
The proceeds from the auction help fund
scouting as well as the Elk Refuge.

| Highway 64 |

This is something you don't see every day.
Highway 64 was under construction for over a
year. Traffic was re-routed and St. Louis
residents had to make big compromises. As a
"thank you" to the public, folks were
allowed to visit Highway 64 on foot, bike,
stroller, skateboard, etc. the Sunday before
it was opened to traffic.

| Derek Trucks |

The Derek Trucks Band performed at Grand
Targhee tonight. Derek's wife Susan Tedeschi
joined the band and took it to another
level.
Mary Lacy, a good friend from our college
days at Washington University in St. Louis,
joined me. Mary has lived in Houston, TX for
around 35 years so she is not
accustomed to, shall we say, "cooler
temperatures". As this was at night at an
elevation of 9,000 feet, we did have some of
those cooler temperatures.
At one point, I asked her if she would be
alright if I left her and went down near the
stage to take some photos. She said yes.
When I returned, she was wrapped up in some
blankets that had been loaned to her. She
was still quite cold. I suggested she
accompany me back to stage front where there
was a crowd of humanity generating much
heat.
She did so and was quite comfortable. She
remarked that she couldn't wait to phone her
sons to let them know their mother was "in
the mosh pit"!
