Rick Schuessler and I did a sunrise shoot at Schwabacher Landing today.

We left the house just after 5 AM planning to arrive at Schwabacher for a 6:45 AM sunrise. We arrived at the parking lot around 6:20 AM. The parking lot was mostly full but we got pretty much the last space. Most of the folks were set up a short distance from the parking lot but we continued on to our location next to the beaver pond.

There were only three other photographers setup there when we arrived around 6:30 AM. A few more came in after we were setup.

It was a clear, crisp  morning with no clouds. Boo. But the beaver pond was calm and the reflection of the Tetons was very clear. All in all a good outing with some nice people.

Camera: Canon 5D Mark IV

The photos above were taken at the traditional Schwabacher Landing locations.

There is a second location that is reached prior to the parking lot that I had never explored. Rick and I decided to scout this location. I did not take my dSLR with me on our short hike. I did however have my iPhone 7 Plus with me and the photos that follow were taken with that camera and then processed further in Adobe Lightroom.

This location is "doagainable" and I will most definitely return again next summer with my dSLR.
I definitely want to try this shot at sunrise sometime next summer.
