Grand Teton National Park

Today we went over to Grand Teton National Park for some sunrise photos.

I had met a young couple (Dave Wasserman & his girlfriend Sharlene) from New York City in May when I was in Zion National Park. We hit it off and, as usual, I talked a lot about Grand Teton National Park. They decided on a visit here in early September.

They were flying into Jackson at noon so Rick Schuessler & I decided to meet them for lunch at Dornan's. Since we were going over, why not go over early and take some sunrise photos?

We started at Schwabacher Landing. I have never seen the water so still thus we got some terrific reflections. The photos could have used some clouds but you takes what you gets.

We next went to the Hedrick Pond Overlook, a location I had never been and had just recently discovered. What a wonderful place to take photos of the whole Teton Range. I will be back.

After lunch and leaving Dave & Sharlene, Rick & I went to Mormon Row so he could take some photos of the barns. I started talking with a lady and we discovered we had met some 10 years ago at The Blue Lion restaurant in Jackson. At that time we discovered that she lived in Wichita KS and had taught Wash U volleyball player Whitney Smith in high school.

What are the odds of running into this same lady again 10 years later?
