This weekend was the 28th Annual Targhee Bluegrass Festival.

FRIDAY

The weather was cold and rainy. The bands were pretty good but not great.

SATURDAY

The weather was rainy again. Two bands were outstanding: Bela Fleck & Abigail Washburn and Keller Williams with The Infamous Stringdusters. In spite of the rainy & muddy conditions, I don't think I have ever seen quite this many people standing down by the stage at any Targhee music event.

The String Dusters performed a tribute to Jerry Garcia and their entire performance consisted of their rendition of Dead songs. Really nice!

SUNDAY

The weather was absolutely spectacular. Cool and a sprinkling of beautiful clouds in the sky.

The bands were good today. The standout bands were the Earls of Leiceste and Lake Street Drive. The later was a rock & roll band making their first appearance at Targhee. The lead singer, Rachael Price, has quite a set of pipes.
